I wonder if Indiana got the message. Americans are unwilling to write discrimination into the law under the guise of religious freedom.
Religious freedom is about being free to practice your religion. It’s not about imposing your religion on others. It’s not about keeping others from practicing their religion or lack thereof. And it’s not about allowing businesses to practice discrimination against people in the basis of their identity.
The national outcry about the Indiana law is not a liberal plot or social media trend. It’s the result of Americans all across this country recognize as an insult to the highest values of our nation.
