Discovering a New Park

It was a gorgeous, warm, sunny day.  And of course we’ve all been sick to a degree.  And tired. And grumpy.  Has your family ever hit that point? That was us today.

Finally, cabin fever got the best of us.  Annie, somehow having escaped the bug, had the clearest opinion of what to do.   She wanted to go to the park. I chose a park that we hadn’t visited yet.  It’s where Harry’s little league jamboree will be, so I was intrigued.

Shoreview park is gorgeous.  It’s basically terraced up a hillside.   We parked at the top, near one of the baseball diamonds and a play structure.  We let the kids go down to a lower field and watched the sun set over Puget Sound.

We even ran into a friend with kids for our kids to play with.  We talked.  The kids played.  The sun set.

Considering how sick and tired and grumpy we were, it was a nice end to the first day of daylight time.
