The Merry Parrot

Merry the cat hides in her  new home

Fearful of the loudness of the small ones

But after the small ones leave

She is coaxed out by tuna and cat food

Accepting food and love

She perches on my shoulder

And stays there, surveying the room with feline imperiousness

Leaning down to consume her food

My cat is a parrot.

Who knew?

Oh yeah, we got a cat last week. 🙂
