Well, it’s official. I’m off of work until next Wednesday, and upon my departure today, I went down to the H&R Block office and took my certification exam to become a Tax Specialist I. I passed, so not only did I level up, to use game parlance, but I can now officially relax and enjoy Christmas.
Not only that, but the House GOP members seem to have come to their senses and are going to go along with the payroll tax compromise, so I don’t have to unload my ire at them during this joyous season.
There are only ten days left in 2011, counting to day, and that means I am ten days away from completing my goal of doing a post every day this year. It’s been a long road, but we’re in the home stretch. I say we because many of you have been with me all along this journey, enduring editorial errors and filler posts in hopes of reading something that makes you laugh or think or compels you to action.
I appreciate every like, stumble, digg or comment. I appreciate every time I see the number of page views increase. Over the ten days remaining this year, I’m going to do some reflecting on this journey, but not in form of a “best of.” I plan to look back and look ahead to where “Great” Thoughts is headed.
