Someday, it will all crash down.

I’m not quite sure how it happened, but I’ve given Harry (and Annie, but mostly Harry) an increasingly elaborate series of answers to his questions about Santa.

It started when he was two and we were concerned about what would happen when Harry encountered multiple Santas.  That’s where the whole Ambassador Santa aided by Foreign Service Elves thing came from.

It has been pretty stable since that inital set of stories.  But then, this week Harry asked what would happent to the North Pole when the sun goes nova in a few billion years.  Will there be humans around?  Well, Santa is apparently going to develop faster than light travel to service all of humanity’s colonies aross the cosmos.

He can’t see the Santa’s house because of the magic hiding it from the rest of us.  At least I refrained from references to muggle-repelling charmss and unplottable buildings.  And he wants to have face time with Rudolph.
