Another Prediction and We’re All Still Here

Well, it would appear that Harold Camping was wrong again.  The world did not end.  We’re all still here and can go on living our lives.  Here’s to living those lives well, helping others,  recognizing and celebrating our humanity, and experiencing the wonder of the world.  And for those of us who do believe that Jesus will return, we have a choice between focusing on an event that may or may not solve all the world’s problems in our lifetime, or we can focus on doing justice, loving mercy and walking humbly with God.  Personally, I choose the latter, and I hope that choice is accompanied by joy and thankfulness that we get to experience the amazing wonder that is life. I’m a pretty optimistic guy, so most of the time it is.

As for now, I’m off to an out of town wedding.
