Best Laid Plans

It was going to be such a productive week.  We made huge progress on our “Spring Cleaning Plus” operation over the weekend.  We even got some plants started.  As we speak, Harry’s pea plant is sharing a large pot with an assortment of herbs on the balcony.  Some random lettuce seeds that came in a Happy Meal (has this happened to anyone else?) are in another pot.  To top it off, I found a potato trying to sprout.   It too is now in a pot.  We also started Harry’s hydroponic terrarium and the Chia Herb Garden, all of which are showing progress.   The only thing we haven’t started is the Chia Obama which has been soaking since Sunday. Yes, there is a bowl of water with a chia likeness of our President submerged in it on my kitchen counter.

We were going to keep up the hard work of the weekend, but it wasn’t meant to be.  Alissa fell on some stairs and sprained her ankle pretty badly. She’s fine, but she can’t drive yet.  So this week’s been a bit of a survival exercise, but we’re getting through.  Still, I’m tired, so I’ll let you go for now.
